Innovative new flooring specialist, Tapi, led by former Carpetright director Martin Harris, is joining the line-up of retailers at Peel Retail Park Straiton
Launched in 2015, the new chain is pitched at the mid-market and offers a ‘sensory’ experience for shoppers looking for flooring for their home, including ways to test the noisiness of different floorings.
The new 7,533sqft store will offer carpets and smooth floor coverings with a predominately own-brand offer, plus additional installation and after care services.
Kevin Keigher, Asset and Development manager at Peel, owner of Peel Retail Park Straiton, said: “Tapi is a great addition to our retail line up at Straiton, with a premium customer experience and innovative offering in the flooring sector.
“We continue to expand our customer offer with a successful mix of retail and food and beverage that sees our footfall rising significantly each year with visitors now at more than 6 million a year.”
The addition of Tapi follows Peel’s recent announcement at Straiton Retail Park to deliver the largest out-of–town Next in Scotland.
Kevin added: “The continued investment, development and focus on design progression at Straiton enabled Peel and Next to exchange contracts to deliver what will become the largest Next store in Scotland.”
Peel Retail Parks continues to enhance the overall scheme at Straiton with ambitious business plans to continue to ensure Straiton remains a prime retail destination within Edinburgh.
Peel Retail Park Straiton is situated directly on the A720 City of Edinburgh Bypass and is located within a 750,000 sqft major retail destination including Ikea, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Costco.
The current tenant line-up consists of retailers Matalan, Nike, Sofology, Next and Outfit in addition to a growing F&B offering including the recently opened Nandos.
